Spring Bird Walks Are Back for 2022!

Saco Bay Trails is happy to announce that our popular Spring Bird Walks are returning for 2022! This year we will be sponsoring six bird walks with naturalist Josh Fecteau. Beginning birders welcome! These casual bird walks will be on the numerous, mostly-paved, paths in the lovely Laurel Hill Cemetery. The cemetery is home to a variety of native and planted trees and the adjacent Saco River. It is an excellent destination for birders, especially in May when so many species of birds are returning or migrating through. Be sure to bring along binoculars, if you have a pair. Each walk will be followed by an informal Q&A session back at the parking lot.

When: Wednesdays (5/4, 5/11, & 5/18) and Saturdays (5/7, 5/14, & 5/21) in May from 7-8:30 am (weather permitting)

Where: Park/meet in the lot by the chapel at Laurel Hill Cemetery, 293 Beach Street, Saco, ME (map)
